England All rounder Andrew Fintoff announced retirement from all formats

England former captain and all rounder Andrew Flintoff announced his retirement from all cricket formats after giving in to his long standing on knee injury. He announced the retirement news on Thursday.                        

“It is with both disappointment and sadness that I am today announcing my retirement from all forms of cricket,” this statement was released by his agents International Sports Management.

“This decision will end my career. This thought comes on my mind yesterday after consultation with medical advisers”  added the 32 year old allrounder. He was retired from test cricket when England defeated Australia in ashes series last year.

He told that he tried lot for overcome his injury and come back into team. But he mentioned his body not supporting to more. He has no option but retire.

“I would like to thank my family, Lancashire Cricket Club, England, all my sponsors, friends and advisers for all the help and support they have given me throughout my career.”

“ Last, but bu no means least, I am indebted to the encouragement and support I hve always received from England’s magnificent supporters.”

Fintoff inspiration in cricket from the England mainly Former skippers Michel Atherton, Nasser Hussain and Michel Vaguhan bu pursuing a media career. He played the last match with Australia in Ashes series last year. Since he didn’t played any match.

He has the contracts with Lancashire and  Domestic T20 cricket for Australian state side Queensland and Indian Premier League in Chennai Super Kings.

Fintoff is face bowling and Hrad hitting batsman. He was played 79 test matches for England. He was played first match at the age of 20 years against South Africa in Trent Bridge in 1998.

In test matches as bowler he took 226 wickets and scored 3,845 runs with 5 hundreds
Including 167 runs his career best against West Indies at Edgbaston in 2004. He was exposed when the England team under Michel Vaughan’s Captaincy. They gained Ashes that time (2005).

Flintoff only the second player after Ian Botham scored 400 above runs and took above 20 wickets in Ashes series.As a captain of England team he has very bad record. England loss the Ashes series to Australia by 0-5 in the year of 2006.

Flintoff Stripped of the England vice Captaincy when he had the late night drinking and car accident in Caribbean. Even though he had few memorable incidents in his life is He took 5 wicket hual in ashes that helped England earned the ashes series.

In the last year ashes series last test match Ricky Ponting ran out by direct hit.

Pawar on Fixing: Investigation could close soon

ICC President sharad Pawar told the Scotland yard police investigation on Spot fixing case could be close soon. Depends on report we go forward and take the action of four pakistani players who involved in this allegation.

Already three of the pakistan players suspended from team and suspension would be reviewed once the investigation was complete.

Pawar was speaking after meeting at his residence with PCB chairman Ijaz Butt, He told to media he had not sought any leniency for the players. As far as we are concerned, there is no tolerance at all, Butt told.

Butt said he raised the possibility of cricket resuming between India and Pakistan after followed by Mumbai attacks in November 2008.

Ijaz Butt visit comes to wake of the spot fixing case, In this case four of the pakistani cricketers questioned by scotland yard police. Already ICC suspended three of them from the international cricket.

Mumbai Indians face Gayana in T20 Champions League

Mumbai Indians ready for another fight with the West Indies Gayana. Mumbai Indians already played 2 games in this tournament and both of them lost. They don't have any chance for semifinals. Gayana played 1 match so far  in this tournament which is against Royal Challengers Bangalore. 


Mumbai Indians is the strong team when comparing the both teams. Pollard and Bravo know very well about Gayana's players. Gayana players have to do much more what they did in the match with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Gayana all out for 103 runs and given that score in 13 overs to opposition team. Even Mumbai Indians also need to do so much. 


Mumbai lost the match against South Australia Redbacks which really Mumbai has to win the game. But Mumbai players dropped few catches and missed run outs and bowled poor deliveries. Only the bowler Mumbai Indians Lasit Malinga is doing well for his team so far in this tournament.


Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh never looked good in the both matches. They looked pretty ordinary bowlers in the both the matches. Pollard also not contributing with the ball. He given 16 runs in one over against South Australia Redbacks.


Mumbai Indians looking good in batting order as Sourab Tiwary earned his place into the team. Sachin Tendulkar and Shikar Dhawan both are in form. Mumbai worried bout only the player JP Duminy. He did not delivered great innings in this tournament. If he played good innings means that is easy task to win the match Mumbai Indians.


Bravo and Pollard scored against Australia Redbacks. When come to bowling bravo given 47 runs in his 4 overs spell. Mumbai rested McLaren and picked Bravo in team. He did well when he bat. He was scored 22 runs in 12 balls.


Gayana Players has to provide their best in the match if they want to continue the tour longer. They have quality players like Ramnaresh Sarwan, Jacobs, Barnwell. Barnwell only the solo performer in their 1st match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Chennai Super Kings smashed Wayamba in Champions League T20

Suresh Raina And Murali Vijay sealed the victory for Chennai Super Kings in Airtel Champions League in their 2nd match. That is the consecutive victory for Chennai Super Kings. The Srilankan team Wayamba Elevens again loosing side in the their 2nd match in a row.


Wayamba Elevens Captain Mubarak won the toss and opted bowl first. Their bowlers did well in the first five overs. In the sixth over they got wicket of Mathew Hyden. Raina joined with Murali Vijay and both of them played a great cricketing shots. 


When Mathew Hyden struggling for scoring the runs other hand Murali Vijay played good strokes. Hyden scored 10 runs from 18 balls. Murali Vijay scored 28 runs in 15 balls their opening stand.


Wayamba bowlers lost their rhythm which they showed in the first five overs. They bowled short balls, length balls.The quick out field also helped the Chennai Super Kings. Suresh Raina and Murali Vijay scored 155 runs in 15 overs.


Both the Indian batsmen played shots very competitive mode. They scored 92 runs in first 10 overs. Wayamba bowlers dont have any clue to restrict them. Raina and Vijay Swings his bats freely to all over ground.


They utilize short distance of boundaries and quick out field. When Mubarak bring the Mendis to the attack Raina hitted 28 runs that over 4 sixes and 2 doubles. Raina scored 87 runs from 44 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes. Raina got out in 18th over and Vijay also followed him. 


But last 2 overs Chennai scored only 14 runs even though Dhoni and Morkel in the crease. At last Chennai Set 200 runs on the board in 20 overs.


Wayamba not get a good start when the big target has to chase. Morkel strikes in his first over Kulatunga and his second over Mubarak and the senior player Jayawardene also got out in the Bollinger over where Muttai Murallidharan took a catch at third man boundary. 


Wayamba struggling when they scored 18 runs and they lost 3 big wickets in 3.1 overs. Then Ashwin comes to attack and he removed 4 Wayamba batsmen in his 4 overs. They got out for 103 runs.This is another worst play from the Wayamba. They never looked comfortable in their two matches. 


Wayamba lost the semifinals chances. Chennai registered their berth in semifinals.

Fired Finch registered Victorians maiden Victory in Champions League T20

The Victoria Bushrangers from Australia managed to chase the 166 runs in 19.4 overs against New Zealand Central Districts. They registered first win in this torunament. Central Districts are given a big competation from the start of the match. This win defiantly will bring some confidence in Bushrangers.


The Player of the man is Aaron Finch. He played a great innings for his team. He took support from Devid Hussey and McDonald. McDonald given a great counter part to him in the middlle and final stage of the Bushrangers Innings.

Finch starts the innings with quiney for Victoria Bushrangers and he played upto end. He was scored 93 rus in 60 balls with 11 fours and 3 sixes.


Before that Central Districts sets the target 165 in 20 overs. At the time of 10 overs Central Districts scored 48/3. They lost two wickets in the first over of their innings. But the skipper come to action and bring the momentum to the Central Districts.


How and Worker played good innings for their team. After worker got out Diamanti given a good support to his captain. They scored lot of runs in the final overs. How scored 28 runs in the innings 18th over.


But Central Districts bowlers not bowled well in this match as they did against chennai in their first match. All the Credit goes to Finch he played a great innings and he awarded as player of the match. With the help of this win Victoria Bushrangers registred points in the table.

ICC Conformed the Test Championship in Future.

Finally the International Cricket Council Chief Executive Committee proposed set of rules for five day and one day matches. The ICC Executive committee recommended that reduce the 50 overs world cup and enlarge the short format events.

The proposed format of test championship will palce the Future Tour Programme. It is contains five day league consist of  four years and top four teams will be part of the championship. Those four teams will selected from qualifying for the play of events.

The first play of schedule is starts from 2013 in the England. In the same time Australia come to England for playing Ashesh series and likely Lords is the final match venue.

ICC Chief Executive Committee sugested In a wide-ranging proposal for the redrawing of one-day cricket, a new format will introduce and announce the team rankings that would be like a mirror for existing. It may be starts from April 2011 and scheduled for every four years.It means first ODI league championship held in April 2014.

This league will run by separate from the world cup. CEC suggested to ICC for reducing to 10 teams from 2015. 2011 world cup to be held in India, Bangladesh and Srilanka. 14 teams participating in the tournament.
It is going to a longer tournament it self.

And CEC recommended that smaller teams like Netherlands and Afghanistan will be include the T20 format. They will play the T20 world cup from 2012. This is only for expanding the cricket in the world. T20 tournaments for the womens will be conducted in future CEC added.
